According to an article published by eMarketer.com the overall volume of global spam grew about 9% in the second quarter of 2007 (over the same period in 2006) with the U.S. relaying more spam than any other nation.

More nations are now contributing to the problem of spam-relaying — six of the top 12 spam-relaying countries are now in Europe, together passing along more spam than the US.
